Aubree Sweeney
Aubree Sweeney studied creative writing and English at The University of Arizona in Tucson. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in screenwriting from the New York Film Academy’s Burbank campus on Universal Studios Back Lot. After graduation, “Disney wasn’t knocking down my door, begging me for my “amazing” thesis project. I wasn’t sure what to do next.” Being a huge Amy Poehler fan, Aubree ended up at Upright Citizens Brigade, an improvisational theater and training center in Los Angeles.
“I went through their program and loved it,” she said. “My confidence got better. My acting got better. My writing got better. Everything got better.”
A natural performer, Aubree was able to easily transition her dance and baton line experience to new mediums from the live stage, to film, web productions and commercial work. Because her monologues were particularly strong, Joel Spence, her improv team’s coach, encouraged her to try her hand at standup.
“I went to an open mic night at the HaHa Comedy Club in North Hollywood. It was messy. I took crash and burn to the next level, but I loved it. One month later, I’m on my first booked gig in the Original Room at The World Famous Comedy Store – so nervous and so excited that I’d found my place in this crazy industry.”
Today she is a nationally touring comedian. And this show in Marana is a part of her tour. We are lucky to have her. Vail wasn’t so lucky!
She spends a good part of the year touring in her RV along with her furry faced pride and joys; She-Ra and Paco. Come to the show and you will learn more about them.
When Aubree’s not on the road, she splits her time between her native Nebraska, where her family still lives, and Southern California. She has become known for her engaging, high-energy, storytelling style that relates her observations and life experiences.

Tim Bateman
Tim Bateman is an "Australian" comedian living and working in the United States, who has just recently returned from doing "comedy for the troops" in Kuwait and Iraq. He will perform fresh off the heels of his performances at the Big Pine Comedy Festival in Flagstaff in September.
Tim is a Winner of the Funniest Person in Phoenix!
He is also a Winner of the Funniest Newcomer in LA!
Tim is the comedian from Australia not to be confused with the rugby player from New Zealand by the same name.
Tim was our feature act for our premier show in Marana in June, 2015. Some in the audience thought he was funnier than the headliner. For this show, he’s going to give Aubree a run for the money!
